Here is my submission for the Better Light Than Never Challenge!

The story of the cinematic is that this room has been unused and in darkness for some time and then the elders are called one more time to decide the future of the land. So the council room prepares itself to welcome the wise men.
Got inspiration from brutalist architecture and tried to mix up natural elements to create a familiar, yet different concept. I wanted very different moods in the lighting but all in one sequence. One was dark, to represent the dormant state of the room, the second mood was more dreamlike, to represent the change, and the final mood was brighter to represent the room was ready.
I wanted to focus on changes to be able to fully utilize Lumen’s capabilities.
I also did some shader work and modeled the tree.
